Nurse Practitioner
Provides episodic care to patients in the Urgent Care setting within the standards and practices of a Family Nurse Practitioner. Facilitates the care of patients with minor illness.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education Special Qualifications (Licensure, Registration, etc.)

Possession of an unencumbered Wyoming State Nurse Practitioner license.

National Nurse Practitioner Certification

Prescriptive authority required.

BLS certification
-
FMSCA, DOT Medical Examiner certification required within 1 month of hire
Knowledge, Skill and Ability
-
Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practice, and primary and urgent care.

Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments
-
Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques of professional nursing to provide episodic patient care

Skills in taking medicalhistory to assess medical condition and interpret findings
-
Skill in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports, and responding to correspondence

Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.

Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations

Ability to communicate clearly
