Provides episodic care to patients in the Urgent Care setting within the standards and practices of a Family Nurse Practitioner. Facilitates the care of patients with minor illness.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education Special Qualifications (Licensure, Registration, etc.) 

• Possession of an unencumbered Wyoming State Nurse Practitioner license. 

• National Nurse Practitioner Certification 

• Prescriptive authority required. 

• BLS certification 

• FMSCA, DOT Medical Examiner certification required within 1 month of hire

 

Knowledge, Skill and Ability 

• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practice, and primary and urgent care.

• Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments 

• Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques of professional nursing to provide episodic patient care 

• Skills in taking medicalhistory to assess medical condition and interpret findings 

• Skill in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports, and responding to correspondence 

• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public. 

• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations 

• Ability to communicate clearly
